Getting started as a producer

beatsheaven is built for producers who want to sell beats without losing 30% to a marketplace. Here's how you get from zero to your first sale.

1. Sign up

Hit Create account in the header. We use Clerk — sign up with email, Google, or GitHub. No credit card needed.

2. Complete onboarding

After signing up, you'll land on onboarding. Pick your producer handle (this becomes beatsheaven.com/@yourname), upload an avatar, write a short bio.

3. Upload a beat

Go to Upload a beat in the header. You'll need:

• Audio file (WAV up to 100 MB, or MP3)
• Cover image (square, up to 5 MB)
• Optional animated cover video (MP4, up to 20 MB — plays in the grid)

Set a price, pick a genre, add mood tags. Your beat goes live immediately on Free plan (10-beat cap) or unlimited on PRO.

4. Set up payouts

Click Set up payouts on your dashboard. Stripe's hosted onboarding takes ~90 seconds. Once approved, every sale pays out directly to your bank on a daily schedule.

5. Share + sell

Every beat gets a shareable page at /u/yourname/b/yourbeat. Drop it on IG, TikTok, your link-in-bio. When someone buys, we deliver the license PDF instantly and queue your payout.

Tips

• Use the modular license builder — set custom terms per template. Beatsheaven's is the only free-tier license builder in the market.
• Enable bulk deals on slower catalogs ("buy 2 get 20% off").
• Turn on free-with-email on low-stakes beats to build an email list of artists interested in your sound.
