DMCA / Copyright Policy
Last updated: April 17, 2026
Our commitment
beatsheaven respects intellectual property rights and follows the United States Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) Section 512(c) notice-and-takedown procedure as well as equivalent Canadian Copyright Act mechanisms. We expect users to do the same.
Filing a takedown notice
If you believe content on beatsheaven.com infringes your copyright, send a written notice containing all of the following:
- A physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or an authorized agent.
- Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to be infringed.
- Identification of the material on the Service that is infringing, with enough detail for us to locate it (e.g. the beat URL or beat ID).
- Your name, address, phone number, and email.
- A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
- A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information is accurate and that you are authorized to act on behalf of the copyright owner.
The easiest way to submit is via our report form. You may also email dmca@beatsheaven.com.
Counter-notification
If your content was removed and you believe it was a mistake or misidentification, you may submit a counter-notice containing:
- Your physical or electronic signature.
- Identification of the removed material and its former location.
- A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief it was removed by mistake or misidentification.
- Your name, address, and phone number, plus consent to jurisdiction in the operator's province of residence (or your home judicial district if you reside outside Canada) and acceptance of service from the original complainant.
Upon receipt we forward the counter-notice to the original complainant. If they do not file a court action within 10-14 business days, we may restore the content.
Repeat-infringer policy
Accounts that receive multiple valid infringement notices are subject to warnings, temporary suspension, and — on the third substantiated strike in any 12-month window — permanent termination with no refund.
Fraudulent claims
Knowingly misrepresenting that material is infringing exposes you to liability for damages under 17 U.S.C. § 512(f) and analogous Canadian law. Do not file a notice unless you are confident you hold the rights you claim.
